XDefiant has been one of the most anticipated video games this year in the FPS gamer community, especially after the mind-blowing reception from the Open Beta. A similar level of excitement was present among our teams at Ubisoft India, more so because our talented production and QC teams worked on this project. So, obviously this called for a big celebration across both our studios.
As tradition follows, we wanted all our teams to experience the newly launched game. Game experience zones were set up in both studios enabling interested folks to try their hand in various game modes.
Keeping in mind the competitive nature of XDefiant, a small tournament was organised for everyone. Participants had to play a match and try to score the highest points. Towards the end, the top participants on the leaderboard formed a team to go up against the dev team. While the newly formed team gave quite a tough fight, the dev team, consisting of the best XDefiant players in our studio, emerged as the winners.
Apart from this tournament, few of our colleagues cosplayed as their favourite characters from one of the XDefiant factions. Naturally, everyone queued up to snap some pictures across the studio.
It’s always heartwarming to see our colleagues getting together to celebrate our game launches. We would like to congratulate the XDefiant production team in Mumbai and the QC team in Pune for their exceptional work on this game. Looking at the overwhelmingly positive responses from our players, it makes us incredibly happy to witness the result of our team’s hard work and passion.
