Ahoy there, Mateys! While you read, we still ride the waves of an exciting celebration we had at our Ubisoft India studios during the launch of Skull and Bones. This much-awaited project is a multiplayer open world pirate game where you play by your own rules to become the most fearsome pirate kingpin and build your smuggling empire in a perilous paradise.
Ubisoft Singapore collaborated with our colleagues from Mumbai and Pune Production teams as well as Pune QC Functionality and TSD teams along with Ubisoft Belgrade, Ubisoft Chengdu, Ubisoft Kyiv, Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Paris, Ubisoft Philippines, and Ubisoft Shanghai for the successful release of the game. From the moment we set sail, a delightful vibe with everyone cosplaying as Pirates had our heart. The creative and spirited outfits transformed our studio into a swashbuckling paradise!
We had a live event where the Skull and Bones devs shared their journeys of working on the game. It was an incredibly inspiring experience to hear firsthand accounts of the challenges faced, the breakthrough moments, and some memories during the making of the game. This was followed by a massive cake cutting ceremony at both the studios. The delicious cake in the shape of a ship certainly captured some surprised faces and the entire team came along to celebrate their efforts and the incredible journey we’ve been on together.
Our reception was transformed into a photobooth extravaganza, complete with a pirate backdrop and props that set the stage for some truly epic snapshots. We gathered with our colleagues and made sure to capture some memories that we’ll treasure forever.
Of course, the real treasure of the day was our game itself. The game experience zones were also buzzing with excitement as team members lined up to be the first to set sail on the virtual voyage. Some of our team members also gathered to sing some sea shanties at our Mumbai studio.

We recorded an epic music video with our Rocksmith+ team at Ubisoft Pune covering the sea shanty originally created by Home Free. As soon as it premiered, it completely blew everyone’s mind!
